Ian Drury

Director of Young Tradition Vermont

Ian Drury holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Communication Sciences and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 20 plus years. Having been immersed in the Trad music scene his whole life, he is passionate about making all of Vermont’s traditional music accessible to individuals, and our greater community to ensure every family is valued, seen, and supported. Developmentally Appropriate Practice, the Reggio Emilia Approach, Anti-Bias Curriculum, and the value of musical learning environments are cores to Ian’s approach to education and connecting with others. 

Ian lives in Essex Jct. VT with his wife Aricha and four kids. He loves his work, hiking, paddle boarding, playing music, his dog, and spending time together as a family.
