Pride '83 Project

Working in partnership with Margaret Tamulonis, curator of the Vermont Queer Archives, we are interviewing a selection of gay and lesbian individuals involved in organizing the first gay pride parade in Burlington, VT in 1983. To date Madeleine and Mary have interviewed eight people, with at least three more interviews to come.

An exhibit that includes these interviews, photographic portraits of the interviewees by M. Sharkey, and materials loaned by the Vermont Queer Archives, Out in the Open and others will open in our Vision & Voice Gallery this Spring.
